Cabana’s BRG Revival ND Roadster, from the Tokyo Auto Salon.

My first MX-5 was a BRG Eunos V-Special, so I will always have a soft spot for the Tan/BRG combo, and I think the ND wears it well! (Except for that chrome nonsense in the front).

SWEET MERCIFUL TOFU THAT STEERING WHEEL

Kinja'd!!!

OK so perhaps a little too much chrome throughout for me. But still, Tan & BRG is a colour combo that needs to come back.

Kinja'd!!!

My old NA by the sea for your time.

Kinja'd!!!

Who wore it better?

The new Miata is nice, I did the Land Rover/Jaaaag booth last year and Mazda was next to us. I kept wandering over to the sporty trim version of the ND. That being said it is a more robust and fancy car, my friend has the original flip up light Miata and it’s just so simple you have to love it because it does what it needs to do and nothing more. I just wish they made a hatch version (in greater numbers and imported), the new one would make a great one.

Yeah it’s insane they don’t make it! They should keep a version of the original door handle. I like the pull.

Bit too much chrome and fake looking wood for my tastes, but having wanted to see a brg ND for a while now, that looks seriously good

Fan-Bloody-Tastic.

I like Soul Red with tan as the Launch edition, but this is better than all of the 2016 color choices.

As the owner of a 99 NB Classic Red... I am a bit jealous. That is a gorgeous car.

I would have kept the mirror pedestal in green, and just the mirror cap in chrome... or maybe silver weave carbon fiber look.

Kinja'd!!!

The interior is interesting, but I would have done/left the vent rings in silver, not wood, and not used it on the roll hoops or wind deflector between them.

The wood around the hazard button and flat vent under the screen is a nice touch, with the shifter and e-brake handle. The steering wheel is cool, and I like it, but I wonder if it is real wood, or plastic. A Nardi real-wood set would be great. If it is just water-transfer graphics on plastic, I’d just keep the leather instead.

Too much chrome, needs more matte silver or brushed aluminum trim instead. That said, I’m really digging it they do that interior change and paint the windshield frame silver/brushed aluminum to really capture the old roadster look.
